Starting school in West Germany, Mr. Martinez had lived in South, Central, & West Texas, before graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was also able to study abroad at the Queen’s College of Oxford University in Oxford, England. Desi is an alumnus of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College and its graduate program, which is considered the most prestigious and selective trial advocacy college in America. Desi is a proud member of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and Texas Trial Lawyers Association, organizations dedicated to protecting citizens and their constitutionally protected right to fair and impartial trials.
Attorney Mark Acuna
Mark Acuna is a veteran of the courtroom, joining Martinez & Associates with over 25 years of experience as a trial attorney. Mr. Acuna started his career as a solo practitioner, handling all manner of legal disputes. His professional focus soon became litigation in all areas of personal injury and employment law, to include discrimination, wrongful termination, wage & hour disputes, non-subscriber injuries and similar practice areas.
Throughout his career, Mr. Acuna has successfully prosecuted claims against some of the largest corporations and governmental entities in the country. In addition to being licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Texas, Mr. Acuna has also been admitted in federal court, having successfully argued cases before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals.
Attorney Rick B. Rodriguez
Rick B. Rodriguez was born and raised in San Antonio and is a first generation Mexican-American whose parents emigrated from Mexico in pursuit of economic opportunities. Rick graduated from Mac Arthur High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Mary's University, as well as his law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law. Upon receiving his license to practice law in Texas, Rick became an associate attorney with Shelton & Valdez, P.C., where he represented businesses in all areas of civil litigation throughout South Texas. In 2006, Rick left Shelton & Valadez in order to help found the law firm of Blazquez, Rodriguez, & Zenner, PLLC. He subsequently left that firm to start his own, where he represented individuals and businesses in all forms of civil litigation. Rick's commitment to his clients and community was inspired by the work ethic and struggles his parents endured to succeed in their new country.
In November of 2014, Rick accepted an Of Counsel position with Martinez & Associates, PLLC, where he now represents individuals and businesses involving breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference with a contract and resolving all forms of business disputes. Additionally, he represents individuals in all areas of personal injury involving auto and trucking accidents, wrongful death and workplace injuries.

Attorney Raul Corrales
Raul Corrales was born in Midland, Texas. From a young age, his parents taught him the value of hard-work and caring for others, regardless of their background or situation in life.
Raul attended the University of Texas of the Permian Basin where he earned a BBA in finance. Shortly thereafter, Raul obtained his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. While at St. Mary’s he worked for the school’s Law Ministry program and participated in the university’s Immigration and Human Rights Clinic where he provided pro bono representation to members of the San Antonio community. Before joining Martinez & Associates, Raul worked for a prominent criminal defense firm in San Antonio.
Raul is a graduate of the Trial Advocacy College of Texas, as well as a member of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Mexican American Bar Association. He is fluent in Spanish and English, which lets him connect with his clients who feel more comfortable working with a Spanish-speaking attorney. Raul stands up for his clients who have been injured and feel that they have no one else looking out for them. Raul joined Martinez & Associates, PLLC, with the specific purpose of becoming a litigator. He continues to gain daily experience in representing clients in all areas of personal injury from inception through to trial.

Ricardo Julio
Ricardo Julio was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His family moved to the US at an early age, and he has lived in Texas ever since. Growing up in a foreign country, he quickly learned the value of hard work and dedication.
Ricardo received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Baylor University in 2009. After graduating, Ricardo attended the night program at St. Mary’s Law School while maintaining a full-time job in Austin. At St. Mary’s, Ricardo was part of the St. Mary’s Civil Clinic where he provided pro bono representation to members of the San Antonio community for family law matters.
Prior to accepting an Of Counsel position with Martinez and Associates, Ricardo was a solo practitioner representing clients in family law, estate planning, real estate, and personal injury cases. His background in medical sciences brings a unique perspective to injury cases. Ricardo is a member of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Mexican American Bar Association. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
